Made for kids aged 8 to 12

From your kid’s idea to a 3D model.

Oriform is a new tool for families with a 3D printer. Your child describes what they want, Oriform builds a simple model, and you preview and print it together.

A handwritten child idea card reading a desk tray for my markers. An Oriform live preview card showing a grey 3D desk tray model. A print attempt card showing the desk tray on a 3D printer bed.

Three steps, about as long as a movie.

1

Say the idea

Your child types or speaks what they want. Oriform asks a couple of clarifying questions in plain language.

2

See the model

A simple draft 3D form appears. Rotate it, change a size, swap a feature. Easy to read, easy to redraw.

3

Try to print it

Export the file and print on your usual printer. Some ideas work first try. Some need a second take.

You probably fit if you have:

A kid age 8 to 12

Old enough to describe what they want.

A parent who joins in

You sit together and confirm sizes.

An FDM 3D printer

At home, school, or a friend who can print.

A simple first idea

One practical or playful object to try together.
